Yuşa HillIstanbul Hills
Yuşa Hill is located on the Asian side Anadolu Kavağı, at 201 meter height.
It’s believed that prophet Yuşa’s, lived between B.C. 1082 and 972, mausoleum is located on the hill. According to a rumors, prophet Yuşa visited the hill with Moses has died and buried in the hill.
Accepted as an holy place from the beginning of the history, Sadrazam 28th Çelebizde Mehmed Pasha orders a small mosque to be built in 1755. The security of The Yuşa Mausoleum s provided by high built walls and security staff in that era.
Mosque renovated n 1863 in Sultan Abdulaziz era and started to be called as Yuşa Hill.
Another renovation started in 90’s and continued in 2000’s. Today hill serves with social and cultural structures.
