How to Get?Transportation
IstanbulFind Advices: If you are going to use public transportation, we advice you first to get an Istanbulkart. With this you can use bus, tram or metro in one card by loading credits in it.
Place your Istanbulkart near the sensor on the turnstile and board any Metro train for Aksaray from either platform. The Airport station is the terminus of this Metro line, so you can board any train, they all go to Aksaray. You can't get the wrong train. Leave the metro at Zeytinburnu, the 6th Metro stop. Use your Istanbulkart to enter the tram turnstiles. Look for trams marked Eminönü or Kabataş. Ride the tram eastbound to Sultanahmet, the 16th stop and get out. You'll be on Divan Yolu at the northeastern end of the Hippodrome with the huge Blue Mosque clearly in view about 300 meters/yards to the south.
After all the procedures at the airport you can find taxis waiting in the exit of Airport door. The cost of Airport to Old City is 16 E (42 Turkish Liras).
HOW TO GET SULTANAHMET FROM TAKSIM
These two districts are so close. If you want to enjoy your trip with sightseeing, using bus is the best way. You can take 61B Taksim – Beyazıt bus. The bus stop is very close to the Grand Bazaar; 10-15 min walk or also you can take the tram about 3-4 min.
From Taksim to Sultanahmet you need to take Fenikuler first. After that you can take the tram from Kabatas and you need to get off at 7th station which is Sultanahmet.
If you prefer taxi transportation it costs 15 TL from Taksim to Sultanahmet.
HOW TO GET TAKSIM SQUARE FROM ATATURK AIRPORT
If you prefer to take the bus from Ataturk Airport to Taksim, you can take the 96T bus.
From Ataturk Airport to Taksim Square first you need to take metro from Airport. Than on 11th station in Aksaray, you need to take Tram to Kabatas and from here with Fenikuler you
